Well, actually, the recipe is not from Morocco. I created it myself. But by using ingredients common to the Moroccan kitchen. How else would I have called them? Just patties is a bit wide.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • sunflower oil

Method

Prepare couscous according to directions on the package. Drainthe chickpeas well.

Finely chop the shallots and put them in a bowl. Press the garlic above the bowl. Add couscous, chickpeas en paprika and mix well squeezing (most of) the chickpeas.

Divide into 6 to 8 portions. Turn every portion into a patty.

Heat oil in a frying pan and bake the patties in batches of 4 until golden brown on both sides.
